Regions / London · England
Reach London's new restaurants, cafés and takeaways before their suppliers are chosen.
OpenSoon is a weekly B2B list of every restaurant, café, takeaway, pub and hotel that registers, opens or closes in London, taken from the council food registers. Suppliers and sales teams get it every Monday as CSV and Excel, with each venue's stage, Companies House match and business contacts where found, for £99 a month.
London turns over more food businesses than any other UK region. A unit on a busy high street can change hands twice in a year, and a new operator has to register with the borough before it trades. We read every borough register daily and list each new venue the week it appears.
Covers City of London, Westminster, Camden, Hackney, Islington, Southwark, Lambeth, Tower Hamlets and every other council area in London.

The London market
Openings are spread across the boroughs. Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Southwark and Lambeth add independents and small groups week after week, and Westminster and Camden add flagship and chain sites. Outer boroughs such as Croydon, Ealing and Barnet are dominated by takeaways and cafés.
Many London registrations are not new businesses at all: a delivery-only kitchen, a change of operator at the same address or a concession inside a food hall. Each record says whether another food business is already registered at the address and whether the site is part of a chain, so you can see which leads are genuinely new before you call.

Registers and fields
Each of the 32 London boroughs and the City of London keeps its own food register and publishes it to the FSA on its own schedule. Some publish several times a week and others less often, so a borough's openings can arrive in batches.
Scheme: Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS): ratings from 0 to 5.

Who uses the London feed
A new London operator usually has its till, card terminal and booking system to choose within weeks of registering.
London openings hire front and back of house at the same time, often before the first inspection.
Used equipment & property agents
High churn means a steady supply of vacated kitchens and units with the fit-out still in place.
Questions
How do I get a list of new restaurants opening in London?
Subscribe to the London feed for £99 a month. Every Monday you get that week's newly registered, newly opened and closed food businesses in London as CSV and Excel, plus a private web page with past weeks. Venues register with the council 28 days before trading, so many are on the list before they open. A free sample is available first.
How many new food businesses register in London each week?
It varies with the boroughs' publishing schedules. The live figures on this page show the last 12 weeks for London, counted the way the weekly file counts them: each venue once, under its latest stage.
Do you include dark kitchens and food-hall stalls?
Yes, if the borough registers them as a food business at premises. Home-based caterers, mobile vans and online-only sellers are left out. Each record shows the venue type and whether other food businesses share the address.
Can I get only some boroughs?
The London plan covers every borough. On your private page and in the Excel file you can filter by council, so you can work only the boroughs you cover.
