OpenSoon

Regions / North West · England

Reach new restaurants and bars in Manchester and Liverpool before your competitors do.

OpenSoon is a weekly B2B list of every restaurant, café, takeaway, pub and hotel that registers, opens or closes in the North West, taken from the council food registers. Suppliers and sales teams get it every Monday as CSV and Excel, with each venue's stage, Companies House match and business contacts where found, for £99 a month.

Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region together make the North West one of the UK's biggest hospitality markets. Openings run from city-centre bars and food halls to takeaways in every town, and the Lake District and the Lancashire coast add a visitor season of their own.

Covers Manchester, Liverpool, Salford, Stockport, Bolton, Preston, Blackpool, Chester and every other council area in the North West.

North West this week

Counts from the council food registers. Updated daily; the list itself goes out every Monday.

The North West market

Manchester's Northern Quarter, Ancoats and Spinningfields see a steady flow of restaurant and bar openings, while Salford, Stockport and Altrincham have become destinations of their own. Liverpool adds venues around the Baltic Triangle, Bold Street and the waterfront.

Across Lancashire, Cheshire and Merseyside's towns, takeaways and cafés make up most new venues. In Cumbria, hotels, pubs and cafés register ahead of the walking season in the Lakes.

Questions

How do I get a list of new restaurants opening in the North West?

Subscribe to the North West feed for £99 a month. Every Monday you get that week's newly registered, newly opened and closed food businesses in the North West as CSV and Excel, plus a private web page with past weeks. Venues register with the council 28 days before trading, so many are on the list before they open. A free sample is available first.

Are Manchester and Salford counted separately?

Yes. Each borough keeps its own register, and the council is a column in every record, so you can filter to the boroughs you cover.

Do Lake District hotels appear?

Hotels, B&Bs and guest houses that register as food businesses are included. They are marked with their venue type so you can keep or drop them.
