OpenSoon

Regions / West Midlands · England

Reach new food businesses in Birmingham and the West Midlands in their first weeks.

OpenSoon is a weekly B2B list of every restaurant, café, takeaway, pub and hotel that registers, opens or closes in the West Midlands, taken from the council food registers. Suppliers and sales teams get it every Monday as CSV and Excel, with each venue's stage, Companies House match and business contacts where found, for £99 a month.

Birmingham is England's largest local authority, and it adds more new food businesses than most entire regions. Around it, the Black Country boroughs, Coventry and Solihull make the West Midlands conurbation one of the busiest markets outside London. We list every one of them weekly.

Covers Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Solihull, Walsall, Dudley, West Bromwich and every other council area in the West Midlands.

The West Midlands market

Birmingham's openings range from the restaurants of the Jewellery Quarter and Digbeth to the takeaways and dessert parlours of Sparkbrook and Small Heath. The Black Country (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton) is dominated by takeaways, cafés and pubs.

Further out, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Warwickshire bring market-town cafés, pubs and visitor venues around Stratford-upon-Avon, Ludlow and the Malverns.

Questions

How do I get a list of new restaurants opening in the West Midlands?

Subscribe to the West Midlands feed for £99 a month. Every Monday you get that week's newly registered, newly opened and closed food businesses in the West Midlands as CSV and Excel, plus a private web page with past weeks. Venues register with the council 28 days before trading, so many are on the list before they open. A free sample is available first.

Is Birmingham's register published often?

Each council sets its own schedule. The live figures show how many West Midlands councils have published an update in the last 14 days, and every record is dated with the publication it came from.

Do you separate chains from independents?

Yes. Each record is marked as a chain or an independent. A venue counts as a chain if it is a known brand, its company runs three or more venues, or a distinctive name appears in three or more postcode areas.
